Determining the Proper Width for Your Watch To determine the proper width for your watch, you can: 1. Check the underside of your current band to see if the width is marked. 2. Use a metric ruler to measure the width where the current band attaches to the watch head. 3. Search online for the specifications of your watch make and model.

If your watch has an odd lug width (19mm, 21mm, or 23mm), we recommend selecting a strap that is 1mm wider. The leather will squeeze in nicely.

Attaching and Adjusting the Strap Refer to the diagram in the picture above. First, remove the original band and reinsert the spring bars into the watch head (replacement spring bars are sold separately if needed). Then, simply feed the leather strap between the spring bar and the watch casing, behind the watch head, and up through the other spring bar. Run the free end through the leather ring on the short strap to secure the watch head. No need to remove the spring bars (pins) to swap between different colors.

If the band is longer than desired, you can fold the free end neatly back into the keeper loop for a clean look.
